Jennifer Lawrence Spends Christmas Eve At Children’s Hospital In Kentucky

Move over, Santa! Jennifer Lawrence was the best gift for Kentucky children this Christmas.

For a fifth year in a row, the Oscar winner spent her Christmas eve visiting the Norton Children’s Hospital in her hometown of Louisville.

“Louisville’s own Jennifer Lawrence stopped by Norton Children’s today to visit with patients, families, and staff,” the hospital shared on its social media. “This visit has become a tradition for Lawrence each Christmas. Thank you, Jennifer! You sure do bring a smile to all!”

The Norton organization, formerly known as Kosair Children’s Hospital, holds a special place in the heart of the 27-year-old actress. Every year since 2012, Lawrence has visited the medical center during the holiday season.

On top of that, last year, JLaw donated $2 million to create the Jennifer Lawrence Foundation Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at the Norton Children’s Hospital. The unite provides a place for families to stay after their children have received a heart transplant or have had open-heart surgery.

“My family and I have met so many wonderful children on our visits to the hospital. Their strength and courage is inspiring,” Lawrence said in a press release at the time. “I challenge everyone to give whatever they can to raise an additional $2 million to help.”

It seems that Jennifer is not that mean to her fans after all!
