The list of nominees for the first major music awards even of the year was announced on Wednesday morning.
For the fifth year in a row, the iHeart Radio Music Awards will celebrate the biggest songs and artists of 2017 across iHearMedia radio stations in the U.S., including the iHeartRadio app.
Rihanna, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, DJ Khaled and Luis Fonsi top the list, each with five nominations, including the coveted Song Of The Year Award. Justin Bieber comes next with four nominations, one of them in the category of Best Fan Army. Taylor Swift joins the race for three categories, in addition to an honorary nomination for her cat Olivia, in the brand-new category Cutest Musician’s Pet.
Other notable names include Niall Horan, Cardi B, Camila Cabello, The Weeknd, and Imagina Dragos, all with multiple nominations.
For the first time in its history, iHearRadio will present seven awards in the seven nights prior to the big even on Sunday, March 11. Each night, at 8:00 pm ET, a new artist will be presented their award and give an acceptance speech.
