It seems like Ruby Rose will roll around Litchfield in a wheelchair.
The Orange Is The New Black star revealed on Tuesday via social media that she will be bound to a wheelchair for some time after undergoing spine surgery due to a health issue she had decided to keep under wraps—until now.
“So… For the past few years (decade) I’ve been dealing with a spine issue,” Rose, 31, wrote on Twitter alongside a picture sitting on her wheelchair, wearing red plaid pajama bottoms and a T-shirt with the caption “strong female lead.”
“I am now recovering from a back procedure, but I do need to stay active, so before I get seen with my cane and wheelchair in public, I’d rather put it out there that I’m fine and going to be fine.”
The Australian model didn’t specify more details about the medical issue she’s suffered for the past 10 years, however, she did share one immediate benefit of the surgery.
“On the plus side guess who had to quit smoking! YAY!” Rose celebrated in a tweet. “I’m done! I’m finally done. That filthy, smelly, dirty, slowly killing you while you pay for it to suffocate you, is finally out of my life. I quit yesterday. And for my back (and Mum) I’ll never start again.”
And to kept her mind away from cigars, and of course, to keep herself entertained while her health goes back to normal, Ruby turned to her famous friends to ask for ideas of what to do during the recovery process.
“What I need to know now is when I’m not wheeling around LA like a 102-year-old, what movies, shows, books and video games do you suggest… I’m buying a switch… I’m looking at you @chrissyteigen what games should I get?”
While Chrissy still hasn’t reply, knowing her, we’re sure she’ll have some sweet recommendations!
Get well soon, Ruby!
