Comedian? Movie star? No! Amy Schumer’s favorite role is to be the wife of chef, and now her husband, Chris Fischer.
The Trainwreck star got married in a surprise ceremony earlier this month, and although it has only been a few days since she tied the knot, the actress is already in love with her new married life.
“It feels f***ing good,” she said of being a wife speaking on Sirius XM’s You Up show with Nikki Glaser. “I just have been really overusing [the term wife] to a degree that’s insane, like, when it’s completely uncalled for.”
Fortunately, Amy is no the only one who is head over heels with her new marital status. “Somebody went to sit next to [Chris] and he’s like, ‘My wife is sitting here,’” she told. “Then I got back and he was excited to tell me that he said that.”
The Malibu wedding was “beautiful,” as described by Jennifer Lawrence, one of the famous guests at the service. But, as expected, the romantic ceremony also had a bit of Amy’s iconic fun touch.
“Mine sucked! I thought mine were good, I wrote mine in like, 20 minutes. I was crying when I wrote them, but his blew me out of the water so hard.”
“I remember a joke from yours,” Glaser said. “You go, ‘You make me laugh, you make me smile, you make me feel loved, you make me food,’” Nikki recalled.
But the vows were not the only unusual thing at Amy and Chris’ wedding. “”Most of the guests found out the wedding was happening from a text Amy sent,” and insider shared. “It was, ‘Hey, this is happening. If you can make it, great. If not, no worries.’ It was supposed to be a crappy day, but it ended up being beautiful.”
We couldn’t expect anything else from funny Amy!
