Rumors were true! After much speculation, Taylor Swift has finally confirmed that Camila Cabello and Charli XCX will be opening the shows of her long-awaited world tour.
The Look What You Made Me Do singer shared the news on her social media on Thursday afternoon. “I’ve been wanting to tell you this for a very long time, but the opening acts on the Reputation stadium tour will be Charli XCX and Camila Cabello,” Tay announced in a video via Twitter. “I’m really excited, I can’t wait to see you, and I can’t wait to see them.”
It didn’t take long before Twitter burst into emotions, where fans of the three singers celebrated with great joy the news of seeing Taylor, Camila, and Charlie together in concert. “I can’t wait to see them! This is going to be epic,” a fan wrote. “Taylor Swift really made it YA GIRLS YOUR […] We love powerful women,” someone else applauded.
Charli XCX also took to Twitter to share her excitement with her followers. “I’m so excited,” she wrote. “Thanks for having me, Taylor.”
But it was the Cuban’s reaction what has fans on awe. “On every level, this is a dream come true,” Camila wrote on Instagram. “As a fan, I’m going to be singing every song at the top of my lungs, as a friend, it’s a GIANT SLEEPOVER, as the girl who had a Taylor Swift poster in her room when she was 14 […] IT’S A DREAM. ”
Even before sharing the recent news, tickets for the Reputation Tour were already in such high demand that Taylor was forced to add extra dates. But the 28-year-old singer still has a long way to go if she wants to exceed the success of her 2015 1989 tour.
Could Camila and Charlie help her achieve that goal?
