In the age of social media, following (or unfollowing) someone is much more than simply clicking on a stupid button. And given the recent activity on Kourtney Kardashian and Younes Bendjima’s respective Instagrams, the couple (?) may be going under strain.
The 38-year-old reality star made headlines after she suddenly but briefly deactivated her Instagram account on Monday, March 5. But what surprised her followers even more was that, after returning to the app, Kourtney didn’t care to follow back her boyfriend, Younes Bendjima, 24.
Understandably, Twitter went wild with breakup speculations. “You broke up with Younes. Scott is still with Sofia. Life is a b**** lol,” someone tweeted. “WHAT’S GOING ON WITH YOUNES??? PLEASE DON’T CRUSH MY DREAMS KOURT!!! I became invested :(” another fan wrote.
And although things are back to normal—relatively—and Kourtney and Younes are once again following each other on the platform, we have plenty reasons to believe the drama is not over yet. “Feels good to stop looking at your phone and start looking at the world. Try. Even for a day,” Younes wrote on an Instagram Story shortly after the social media drama.
Is he referencing that huge fight over Kourtney’s phone obsession on the season finale of KUWTK?
And like if that wasn’t enough, the model also quoted a tweet by Denzel Washington on his Instagram Stories that just can’t indicate anything good. “I’m both an introvert and extrovert. I love people, but I need to be alone. I’ll go out to meet people, but it has an expiration because I have to recharge. If I don’t find the valuable alone time I need to recharge, I cannot be my highest self.”
Well—Younes has spoken!
Dear Kourtney, it is now your turn to give us a proper explanation. But please, make it clearer than your beau’s cryptic posts!
