Turns out Black Widow is not so widow after all.
Is not official in showbiz until you’ve hit the red carpet together. So we can finally say that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost are officially official after nearly a year together.
The actress and her boyfriend made their debut as a couple at the Avenger: Infinity War premiere in Los Angeles Monday night. Johansson, who plays Natasha Romanoff (a.k.a. Black Widow) in the epic superhero movie, walked down the red carpet of the event hand-in-hand with Jost, head writer of Saturday Night Live.
This is Johansson’s first relationship since her split form now ex-husband, French journalist Romain Dauriac, in January 2017. The couple got married at a ceremony in 2014, just a few months before welcoming their only daughter together, Rose Dorothy.
Shortly after her divorce from Duariac, the 33-year-old actress opened up about her thoughts on marriage, saying she doesn’t think monogamy is “natural.”
“I think the idea of marriage is very romantic; it is a beautiful idea, and the practice of it can be a very beautiful thing. But I don’t think it’s natural to be a monogamous person,” Johansson admitted. “I might be skewered for that, but I think it’s work. It’s a lot of work. And the fact that it is such work for so many people […] proves that it is not a natural thing. It’s something I have a lot of respect for and have participated in, but I think it definitely goes against some instinct to look beyond,” she added.
Maybe it’ll be Colin who changes Scarlett’s take on monogamy. Or maybe, just maybe, we’re headed for a monumental polygamous surprise.
