It looks like the sexy archeologist won’t be whipping his whip until 2020. The release date of the fifth Indiana Jones movie is being pushed back by months, perhaps even a year, due to issues with the script.
According to Variety, Jonathan Kasdan, who co-wrote young Han Solo prequel Solo: A Star Wars Story, will take over scripting duties after David Koepp, who penned Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull reportedly exited the project.
The film, featuring Harrison Ford reprising his role as the the eponymous archaeologist, was originally set to hit theaters in 2019 before it was pushed back to summer 2020 last year. And though production has been delayed yet again, fans of the series are far from being upset.
In fact, if there’s one thing they are worried about is that Indiana Jones 5 actually ever gets made, because the Crystal Skull fiasco and the fact that the sexy, agile professor we once knew would be 78 when the film finally gets release. And, tbh, we’re not sure that’s the Indy we want to see.
