Engaged to be married, with matching tattoos, and so much in love, prior to her romance with Pete Davidson—mind you, not even three months ago—Ariana Grande was in a high-profile relationship with rapper Mac Miller.
And if her rushed love story with the comedian took us, fans, by surprise, we can only imagine what Mac Miller felt when he learned Ari had moved on from their two-year relationship just 11, eleven, E-L-E-V-E-N days after calling it quits.
No wonder why Mac is now saying he finds Ari and Pete’s romance a bit too weird.
“The whole thing is a little strange,” the rapper said of her ex’ sudden engagement, adding that he “kind of knew” about the intensity of their relationship but wasn’t fully aware of the situation as he stays off the “evil internet.”
However, Mac Miller went on an added that he isn’t angry or upset about the situation and that he wished her the best all the same. “It’s all positive energy,” he said. “I am happy for her and moving forward with her life just as I’m sure she is with me.”
And though Mac’s comments were clearly meant to clear the air between him and Ariana, his interview with Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 only rekindled Arianator’s feelings about Mariana, MacGrande, or whatever the heck Mac and Ari’s ship name was.
