“Stranger Things 3” Is Officially Delayed Until Summer 2019 And Twitter Isn’t Happy

Y’all, we get it. You can’t rush genius. But you can’t stop growing up either, so the Duffer brothers have got to find a middle ground on this one.

According to Cindy Holland, Netflix’s VP of Original Content, the third season of Stranger Things, set in 1985, won’t be premiering until next summer, and for a good reason: they want it to be better, and larger, than the last two.

“Well, it’s a hand-crafted show,” Holland said. “You know, the Duffer brothers and Shawn Levy have worked really hard and they understand the stakes are high. They want to deliver something bigger and better than what they did last year. And so, they really want to take the time to get it right. I think it’s gonna be a fantastic season, it’s gonna be worth the wait.”

Worth the wait? Girl, do we get an extra 10 episodes or what?!

Guess we’ll have to wait another year only to take pleasure in those two days of binge-watching. Until then, Duffer brothers, you’re under our mouth-breathers list.
