Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani were brought together by TV. And now, the longtime couple are looking to work (perfectly) together on yet another show after falling in love at The Voice. And tell me boy now wouldn’t that be sweet?
A new report suggests that there’s a possibility the country singer and the Hollaback Girl are working on their own show amid rumors that the two are planning to finally walk down the aisle soon.
“Blake and Gwen got the feel of it when they worked together on The Voice and really liked what came from that and they are interested in pursuing many opportunities together because when they do things with each other it always seems to be a success,” an insider tells Hollywood Life.
According to the insider, despite Blake and Gwen’s numerous obligations besides their successful singing careers, they’d be willing to work on another show “because they’re very interested in branching out to those other opportunities because it’s fun and obviously really lucrative.”
The source further added that the couple has been “pitched on many occasions and asked to do a reality show together, but they don’t have much interest in that, and are very interested in working on another show together, either on camera, off camera or both.”
However, the fact that NBC has Shelton locked into a non-compete agreement, which bars him from doing any other TV series besides The Voice, means the possibilities of them pursuing other “opportunities” together are actually really slim. Unless, of course, he’d be willing to five up his coach turning chair, which would leave Adam as the only remaining reasons worth watching the show.
But hey, Blake and Gwen back together on the small screen? That show would be bananas, B-A-N-A-N-A-S!
