The Dutch and Duchess of Sussex will soon move out of their cottage at the Kensington Palace grounds. The reason? Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton are not getting along.
According to the British press, tensions between the duchesses could be behind the dramatic decision by Harry and Meghan to move away from Windsor Castle. As per announced over the weekend, the newlyweds will be relocating 20 miles away to a 10-bedroon cottage in the Frogmore House estate.
The Palace is spinning a line that Harry and Meghan want to live at Frogmore because it holds a special place in their hearts, as it is where their wedding reception was held earlier this year. However, sources close to the royals told the Daily Mail the move has less to do with nostalgia and more to do with differences between Harry and William’s wives.
“Kate and Meghan are very different people. They don’t really get on,” a source confirmed.
Other reports suggest that Harry is eager to move out of Kensington Palace because he wants to start his married life away from the “goldfish bowl” of royal life in London, as Frogmore Cottage will give the Prince and his wife—as well as their new baby—more privacy.
Hopefully the rumors that Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton are not getting along aren’t true. But, ultimately, it’s doubtful we’ll ever get the full royal tea.
