The Holiday Armadillo granted fans their wish of having Friends on Netflix for another year.
For a while there on Monday, Friends fans went through an emotional roller coast, to say the least, when they thought everyone’s favorite show was going to be ousted from Netflix, only to find out that same day that the popular sitcom will sill be there for them on 2019.
There was speculation that New York’s favorite gang would be moving to AT&T’s streaming service, which is expected to launch in 2019. And, understandably, the rumors quickly turned into “The One Where Friends Fans Are In Frenzy.”
Angry suscribers took to social media to voice their anger over the show leaving. But their uproar managed to keep Friends on Netflix for another year—that, and the $100 million the streaming giant paid for the rights.
Guess that was less expensive that all the subscriptions that would’ve been cancelled if Friends had left.
