The singer is clearly Anti her father’s business practices. Rihanna has sued Papa Fenty for allegedly using their family name—which she trademarked— to brand his new his own entertainment company without her permission.
Legal documents obtained by TMZ suggest the Bad Gal claims her father and his business partner have falsely promoted themselves as her representatives and gained millions in the process. “Although Mr. Fenty is Rihanna’s father, he does not have, and never has had, authority to act on Rihanna’s behalf,” the lawsuit reads.
The report goes on to stress that Rih has issued multiple cease and desist letter to her father. However, Ronald Fenty is alleged to have ignored them all and continued profiting off it.
As for the resolve the pop icon is seeking, she wants an injunction against her dad, as well as unspecified damages.
