Ben Affleck as Batman was far from being a fan favorite. Could Nick Jonas save Bruce Wayne’s popularity?
It appears that the youngest member of the now extinct Jonas Brothers band wants to be considered to play Matt Reeve’s version of Batman. The newly-wed took to Instagram to announced his postulation for the role.
Over the weekend, Hypebeast posted a picture announcing Ben Affleck’s retirement from the franchise and asked their follower who should play the Caped Crusader next. It didn’t take long before Nick Jonas answered the call with a simple comment. “First name Nick. Last name Jonas,” the singer wrote.
Judging by the thousands of likes under his comment, seems like fans are burning up (burning up) over the idea of Nick as the new Dark Knight.
Though he’s mostly known for his music, Nick Jonas is no stranger to acting. In fact, he recently joined Dwayne Johnson and Jack Black in the reboot of Jumanji. Jonas will also appear in Chaos Walking, Ugly Dolls, and Midway later this year.
So yeah—perhaps Nick Jonas isn’t the first in line to replace Ben Affleck as Batman. But there’s no denying he’s gathering experience!
