Elizabeth Olsen Auditioned For Daenerys Targaryen And It Was Just “Terrible”

If you thought the final season of Game of Thrones is the worst thing that could’ve happened to the show, think again. Elizabeth Olsen auditioned for Daenerys Targaryen but thank God she didn’t get the role! In a recent interview with Vulture, the youngest Olsen sister confessed she once read for the role of Khaleesi—although it seems it didn’t go well at all.

“It was the most awkward audition I’d ever had,” Olsen recalled. “[It was a monologue from] after she just burned [in season one]. And she’s making this speech to thous

ands of people about how she’s their queen. They didn’t know if they wanted a British accent or not. So, you did it in both. It was terrible. Anytime someone says, ‘Bad audition story.’ That’s one I remember.”

Despite her bad audition, things have certainly worked out for the 30-year-old actress. Elizabeth Olsen has gone on to appear in a number of blockbuster films—including her MCU role as Scarlet Witch which gained her credits in the mega-blockbusters Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Infinity War and Endgame.

And though we love the fact that Elizabeth Olsen auditioned for Daenerys Targaryen, the ultimate platinum blonde, we actually prefer her as a redhead.
