We can’t think of someone who’d be happy to hear Chris Hemsworth is taking a break from acting. But the sweet reason why he’s stepping back from Hollywood almost makes it worth it (but just almost).
The actor is taking a year-long hiatus from being in front on the camera. Instead, he’s planning to return to his come in Australia for some much-deserved quality with wife Elsa Pataky and children India, Sasha and Tristan.
“This year I probably won’t shoot anything,” the actor revealed to the Daily Telegraph. “I just want to be at home now with my kids.” He continued: “Thy are at a very important age. They are still young and they are aware when I leave more than before.”
Considering all his project on the pipeline, the fact that Chris Hemsworth is taking a break is absolutely understandable. Aside from playing a thicker version of Thor in Avengers: Endgame, the Australian heartthrob is staring in the upcoming summer blockbuster Men in Black Man: International. Chris Hemsworth also plays the lead in action film Dhaka, and recently wrapped a cameo role in a reboot of Kevin Smith’s Jay and Silent Bob franchise.
“If you went back 10 years and asked me what would be my dream scenario, this is kind of it,” he said. “I can now sit back, enjoy and appreciate it, and stop chasing [movies].”
So Elsa and her kids better enjoy their quality time with Chris while it lasts, because we want him back by 2020!
