Who will be the villain in The Batman? Rumor has it Jonah Hill will star opposite Robert Pattison as one of the many bad guys to appear in Matt Reeve’s upcoming film.
According to reports, the talks are moving slowly dues to the two sides not being able to decide which role Hill would play, but Riddle and the Penguin—which have been previously played by Jim Carrey and Danny DeVito, respectively—are supposedly part of the discussion.
While all eyes are on the new Joker from Todd Phillips, news about the upcoming Batman solo film are little by little coming to surface. First, it was reported that Robert Pattinson would be replace Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader. Then, earlier this week news broke that Jeffrey Wright is in talks to play Commissioner Gordon.
Jonah Hill as the new villain in The Batman would be the actor’s first big project since starring in Netflix’s sci-fi miniseries Maniac. As for his work on the big screen, lately, the Oscar-nominee has mainly focused on independent productions, specially behind cameras, most recently with the comedy drama Mid90’s, which he wrote and directed.
The Batman is set for release on June 25, 2010, and we can’t wait to see this potential casting on action!
