Following the massive success of A Star Is Born, the singer has landed her next big film role. Lady Gaga’s new movie will retell the Gucci family fashion dynasty and the murder of the founder’s grandson, and will be directed by cinematic hero Ridley Scott.
Maurizio Gucci, who was formerly the head of his family fashion house, was shot and killed outside his office in 1995. According to reports, Gaga will play Patrizia Reggiani, Gucci’s ex-wife, who was convicted of orchestrating his murder, landing her with an 18-year prison sentence and the nickname Black Widow.
Lady Gaga’s new movie will mark her first feature film role since A Star Is Born a little bit over a year ago. As for Ridley Scott—known for such classics as Alien and Blade Runner—, he last released his film All the Money in the World in 2017.
It’s unclear what the exact title of Lady Gaga’s new movie will be, or when it might see release. We don’t even know yet who will play the late Maurizio Gucci.
