From career-defining performances, to all-time Academy favorites, and Queen B herself—not to mention a complete shut-out of female directors—these are some of the most shocking and frankly upsetting omissions.
With a largely predictable slate of nominees—with Joker, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Parasite, 1917, and Irishman leading the secure nods—there were also plenty of major slights.
