Sydney Sweeney receives two Emmy Awards nominations and shares emotional video

The actress gained recognition for her roles in the series “Euphoria” and “The White Lotus,” playing Cassie and Olivia Mossbacher, respectively, and received two 2022 Emmy Awards nominations.

“What a morning! thank you so much to the Television Academy for my emmy nominations! It’s an honor to know that both Olivia and Cassie have connected with so many. I’m so proud of both these shows and grateful to everybody that’s been apart of them. But most importantly mom, I love you, we did it through the ups and downs! Thank you thank you!!”, wrote on her Instagram.

Sweeney is up for “Supporting Actress In a Drama Series” for “Euphoria” with Patricia Arquette (Severance), Julia Garner (Ozark), Jung Ho-yeon (Squid Game), Christina Ricci (Yellowjackets), Rhea Seehorn (Better Call Saul), J. Smith-Cameron (Succession) and Sarah Snook (Succession). 

And in the category “Supporting Actress In a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie” for “The White Lotus”, it competes with Connie Britton (The White Lotus), Jennifer Coolidge (The White Lotus), Alexandra Daddario (The White Lotus), Kaitlyn Dever (Dopesick), Natasha Rothwell (The White Lotus) and Mare Winningham (Dopesick). 

The star shared on her Instagram the moment she called her mother to tell her the news, Sydney can’t hold back the tears of emotion. These are the actress’s first Emmy Awards nominations. See the video below:
