During the D23 Expo, Disney released a new trailer for ‘Hocus Pocus 2’. The sequel to the 1993 hit will arrive this month on streaming Disney+ and will feature the return of actresses and actors from the first film.

At the beginning of the video, the Sanderson Sisters appear as children. The sequel to the classic will reveal the story of Winifred (Bette Midler), Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Mary (Kathy Najimy) and how they became the dreaded witches.

The preview shows a trio of teenagers, with one of them turning 16. Legend has it that when you reach this age, it is possible for a witch to gain powers. However, when they try to perform the ritual, everything goes wrong, and the Sanderson sisters return after 29 years. In order for them to live the next day, the witches will have to steal the souls of the young women who brought her back.
Soon after, it is possible to see the witches terrorizing the city of Salem. It looks like it won’t be easy for young girls Becca (Whitney Peak), Cassie (Lilia Buckingham), and Izzy (Belissa Escobedo) to stop them.
Doug Jones, who played Billy Butcherson in the original version, will reprise the role in the new film, Anne Fletcher is directing. ‘Hocus Pocus 2’ premieres on September 30, only on Disney.
