According to Page Six, Pugh was reportedly uncomfortable with the warm interaction between Olivia and Harry Styles on set, because Olivia was still married to actor Jason Sudeikis at the time. Soon after, she took up the relationship with the singer.

Wilde denied any disagreement and praised the protagonist’s performance. “She is sensational in this film. She is brave enough to listen to the brave people who came before her, who everybody else ignored and trusts her instincts, and she is the one brave enough to dismantle the system ”, says the director.

“Florence Pugh is as good, she is a super hero. At dramatic work as she is at action. There are real action sequences in the film. She has a run, which I refer to as her ‘Tom Cruise run’. It’s the most impressive run I’ve ever seen”, she continues. “I have nothing but respect for Florence’s talent. She is fantastic. She is on the set of her movie ‘Dune’ [Part 2] right now. There’s nothing cooler than a busy actress.”

Olivia Wilde states, “I have nothing against her for any reason.” And she ends the matter with applause. “They did point that out. I don’t feel like my leal male directors colleagues are answering questions about their cast.”
