Shakira announced this Sunday (9), her new single “Monotonía”, the track features the Puerto Rican singer Ozuna and will be released on digital platforms on October 19.

On Saturday (8), the singer shared on her social networks an enigmatic video with a heart being trampled by a man, while in the background a woman tries to rescue it.

“I never said anything, but it hurt me. I knew this could happen”, Shakira wrote in the caption. As part of the promotion of the new work, the artist also shared some excerpts of the song: “It wasn’t your fault, it wasn’t my fault. It was the monotony’s fault”. 

The pre-save of “Monotonía” is now released! The release takes place amid the troubled divorce with Gerard Piqué. The Barcelona defender and the Colombian singer officially announced the end of their 12-year relationship on June 4. They are parents to Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7. The reason for the breakup was a betrayal on the part of the player.
