Last week, Sotheby’s Royal and Noble auction took place, bringing together several items that were part of history. Kim Kardashian, who was in attendance at the event, managed to get one of the favorite necklaces worn by Princess Diana worth $200,000.

The necklace, which was created in the 1920s by court jeweler Garrard, features a Fleurée cross with square-cut amethysts and circle-cut diamonds. The Princess of Wales has already worn the piece to an event in support of Birthright, a charity that strives to protect human rights during pregnancy and childbirth.

In a post on social media, Sotheby’s explained a little about the rare jewel: “It is understood that the cross was only used by the princess and after her death, it was never seen in public again until now. (Diana died aged 36 in a car accident in Paris in 1997)”.
