Meghan Markle and Prince Harry chased by car in New York

Last Tuesday (16), in New York, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were chased by paparazzi for more than two hours in search of photographs of the couple when they were leaving an event. Sources claim that six cars followed the former royal members’ car.

“Last night the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their Ragland were involved in an almost catastrophic car chase at the hands of a highly aggressive ring of paparazzi. This relentless chase, lasting two hours, resulted in several collisions of nearby motorists on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD officers,” the couple’s spokesperson said in a statement.

The information released reinforced that: “While being an old public figure with a level of public interest, it should never come at the expense of anyone’s safety. The dissemination of these images, given the ways in which they were obtained, encourages a highly intrusive practice that It’s dangerous for everyone involved.”

 The New York Police Department said the team helped protect the integrity of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry and that “the Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived at their destination and there have been no reports of collisions, subpoenas, injuries or arrests”.
