“At this moment, we need to be very clear: we stand with Israel and we will do everything so that Israel can defend itself against this attack,” Biden said.

Accompanied by Vice President, Kamala Harris, and Secretary of State, Antony J. Blinken, Biden also stated that the US will send additional military assistance to Israel.

With this, the Americans’ objective is to resupply Israel’s rocket interceptor system and provide intelligence to try to rescue hostages held by Hamas.

“We are increasing additional military assistance, including munitions and interceptors to resupply [the] Iron Dome,” Biden said. “We will ensure that Israel does not run out of these critical resources to defend its cities and citizens.”

Furthermore, the president stated that, of the 1,000 people killed in Israel, at least 14 were Americans. Biden said the extremist group’s actions were “pure evil.”

It is worth remembering that Biden maintains contact with the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, said he supports the Israelis and recalled that both the US and Israel are democracies and must act “in accordance with the rule of law”.

“We will ensure that Israel has what it needs to take care of its citizens, take care of itself and respond to this attack. There is no justification for terrorism. There is no excuse,” said President Joe Biden.
