Last Sunday (28), former President Trump attributed the deadly drone attack in Jordan to President Biden’s “weakness and surrender.” In a post on Truth Social, he called the attack “brazen” and expressed condolences to the families of the fallen service members. “The drone attack on a US military installation in Jordan, killing three American service members and injuring many more, marks a horrible day for America. My deepest condolences go out to the families of the brave service members we lost,” Trump wrote.

“I ask all Americans to join me in praying for those who have been hurt. This brazen attack on the United States is yet another horrible and tragic consequence of Joe Biden’s weakness and surrender….” He continued.

Trump’s attack on Biden came just hours after the president announced the attack, which marked the first time US military personnel have been killed by enemy combatants in the Middle East since the start of Israel’s war with the Palestinian militant group Hamas. Biden said that the attack was carried out by “Iranian-backed radical militant groups.” The Pentagon called the attack “a unilateral ‘suicidal’ drone attack on a patrol base” near the Syria-Iraq border in northeast Jordan. At least 25 soldiers were injured in the attack.

He also criticized Biden’s policy toward Iran, stating that the country was “weak, broken and completely under control” during his presidency. The former president highlighted his “maximum pressure” approach toward Iran and claimed that Biden had instead granted billions of dollars to the Iranian regime, contributing to instability in the region. Trump concluded by suggesting that the US faces significant challenges under Biden’s leadership, saying it “cannot survive” with him as commander in chief.
