If you’re suffering from an Oscar hangover right now, at least you can take heart in the fact that it (probably) won’t affect your career. For these unlucky former Academy Award winners, though, the Oscar seemed to have cursed their professional trajectory.
Here is a list of 15 Oscar winners we all forgot as great actors after they won the golden statue. Some, like Marlee Matlin, are all but completely forgotten while others, like Gwyneth Paltrow, just bombed after some bad roles despite remaining on the A-list.
