At this year’s Academy Awards, Max Max: Fury Road torched its competition in the standings for Oscar wins. It might not have come anywhere near the 11 won by Ben-Hur (1957), Titanic (1997) and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003), but it won twice as many as the next best on the night.
