Just hours after Roseanne Barr wrote a racially insensitive tweet aimed at former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett, ABC has announced their decision to cancel “Roseanne” after one season since it’s revival earlier this year.
“Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent to our values,” said Channing Dungey, president at ABC Entertainment, on a statement released on Tuesday. “We have decided to cancel her show,” the message continued.
Following Dungey’s statement, celebrities including Ava DuVernay, Kumail Nanjiani, and even co-star Emma Kenney and other colleagues of Barr have been speaking out on social media about ABC’s move to end the show. Check out some of the celebrity reactions following the cancellation of “Roseanne.”
