The world was taken by surprise Friday morning when CNN confirmed the unexpected death of their colleague and friend, the talented celebrity chef and television host, Anthony Bourdain, at age 61.
Bourdain was found dead at his hotel room in France, where he was recording an upcoming episode of his award-winning food travel show Parts Unknown, which was working on its 11th season after five years on the air.
The news of Bourdain’s dead comes only three days after fashion designer Kate Spade passed away, caused by an apparent suicide as well, further shocking the entertainment industry.
Bourdain’s friends and fellow celebrities like Gordon Ramsey, Chrissy Teigen, and Bryan Cranston are taking to Twitter to not only mourn the dead of a true icon of the culinary world, but also to share information on prevention, hotlines, and other resources to help and support people in distress.
