After the game, head coach Kevin O’Connell said that they are “fearing an Achilles injury”. “The severity of that, I do not know at this point”, added O’Connell, informing that further tests are being carried out. “We’re thinking about our leader… our guy right now and I’m just so proud of him and the way he’s played all season”.

The quarterback completed 23 of 31 passes for 274 yards and two touchdowns before the injury. If Cousins misses the rest of the season, he will be replaced by Jaren Hall or Nick Mullens.
