James Harden is no longer a Philadelphia 76ers player. The Beard was traded by the East Coast franchise to the Los Angeles Clippers.

As a result, this is Harden’s 4th team in four seasons. Barba also had recent stints with the Houston Rockets and Brooklyn Nets.

Namely, the exchange was already a move predicted by league experts. Harden clashed with the 76ers’ president of basketball operations in the offseason.

The exchange was a request from Harden, who even called Daryl Morey a liar and stated that there was no longer trust between the two.

Thus, in addition to James, the Sixers also sent P.J. Tucker and Filip Petrusev to Los Angeles. In return, the Philadelphia team received Nicolas Batum, Marcus Morris, Robert Covington and KJ Martin, as well as some future draft picks.

Harden has yet to play a game this season. The shooting guard stayed away from all Sixers activities until the trade was resolved and, therefore, will make his debut in 2023/2024 in the Clippers uniform.

It is worth remembering that Harden arrived at the Philadelphia 76ers during the 2021/2022 season, after asking to be traded from the Brooklyn Nets.

Now, with Harden’s departure, the Philadelphia team once again has the current MVP, Joel Embiid, as its only big star.

The Clippers are on their way to having a team full of big names with Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Russell Westbrook and, now, Harden.
