The Serbian player expressed concerns about the lack of games in his country, highlighting the importance of allowing nations to host events and providing opportunities for local audiences to watch games.

Commenting on the ongoing discussions, Djokovic emphasized the need to involve Davis Cup players and teams in these debates, pointing out that to date, the International Tennis Federation (ITF) had not contacted the players. He expressed the importance of hearing different perspectives, highlighting the tradition of home and away games as something the Davis Cup is known for. Djokovic suggested that if the competition adopts a Final Four or Final Eight format, it should travel annually, avoiding staying in the same location for more than a year.
