But, despite all the talent demonstrated at just 20 years old, the English midfielder makes a point of saying that the big difference in such an impressive performance was the hand of coach Carlo Ancelotti

“I put in my effort and commitment ferociously to overcome myself with work. But the credit goes to Mister Ancelotti, who found the right position for me and gave me more freedom on the field. So now I fly,” Bellingham told the newspaper “Tuttosport “.

With this, Bellingham has already scored 15 goals and provided four assists in the first 17 games with the Merengue shirt, becoming the team’s reference at the beginning of the season, when Vinicius Junior was injured.

Wearing the number 5 shirt immortalized by Zidane, he established himself as an absolute starter for Carlo Ancelotti’s team at just 20 years old – after having already shone at Borussia Dortmund.

This Monday (4), the young Englishman will receive the Golden Boy award, a traditional trophy that rewards the best under-21 player in European football.

Bellingham won the election among journalists, but also among fans. In an interview with the newspaper that organizes the award, the young man stated that there is one factor that has been bothering him at Real Madrid: the language.

“I still don’t speak Spanish… I’m sorry, but I’m encountering unexpected obstacles with this language. It’s difficult for me, I admit. In any case, I promise my utmost commitment”, he revealed.
