It would be the first time that a team has won the English Championship four times in a row.

“My feeling today is that we will win the Premier League. If we play at the level we showed against Liverpool and Tottenham, we will win again. People don’t believe it after three draws, but we will do it again, knowing that it is not easy”.

“No team has yet managed to (win four titles in a row), that’s why there is this difficulty”, declared Guardiola, in a press conference this Tuesday (5).

With 30 points from 14 games, Manchester City is third in the Premier League, three points behind leaders Arsenal and one behind Liverpool.

The team recorded draws in the last three matches of the English Championship, against Chelsea (4-4 in London), Liverpool (1-1 at home) and Tottenham (3-3 at home).

Last season, the Citizens overcame a five-point deficit against the Gunners and won their fifth Premier League title in the Guardiola era, the third in a row. The club also won the FA Cup and the unprecedented Champions League.

Now, Manchester City faces Aston Villa this Wednesday (6), away from home. The team enters the field already knowing if it can take the lead, since Arsenal plays this Tuesday (5), against Luton Town, also away. Liverpool visit Sheffield United on Wednesday.
