The striker missed Sunday’s (10) win at Luton Town, due to bone stress in the foot. After the match, manager Pep Guardiola talked about Haaland’s condition. “Stress on the bone. Stress. Just stress. Please don’t ask that his foot is broken. It’s just stress”.

“He wasn’t ready for this game, I don’t think he’ll be ready for Crystal Palace. We hope he’ll be ready for Saudi Arabia (in the Club World Cup). Week by week will dictate how he feels”, said Guardiola.

The striker is the Premier League’s leading scorer this season, with 14 goals. “Erling has been so important since he arrived. But during the season we see this sort of thing. Injuries, suspensions, problems – we have to adapt”, added Guardiola. The English team will make their debut in the Club World Cup on December 19, against either León-MEX or Urawa Red Diamonds.
