United States defines players to participate in the Summer Olympics

Last Tuesday (23), in a press conference, USA Basketball announced the professional players who will be representing the United States at the Summer Olympics this year. The team will be made up of 41 players with names recognized worldwide.

“The United States has unbelievable basketball talent and I am thrilled that many of the sport’s stars have expressed interest in representing our country at the 2024 Summer Olympics. It is a privilege to select the team that will help us achieve our goal of being once at the top of the Olympic podium. This challenging process will unfold over the coming months as we eagerly anticipate the start of national team activities,” said General Manager Grant Hill.

Among the names that will make up the team are: LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Anthony Edwards, Tyrese Haliburton, Jarret Allen, Desmond Bane, Scottie Barnes, Devin Booker, Jimmy Buttler, Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid, De’Aaron Fox , James Harden, Tyrese Halliburton, among others.

The general manager also informed that the team will be led by Steve Kerr, coach of the Golden State Warriors, assisted by Mark Few, from Gonzaga University, Tyronn Lee, coach of the Los Angeles Clippers and Erik Spoelstra, from the Miami Heat. The team will be together for the first time in July.
