Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson expected to be sidelined for a few days, as he avoided a significant ankle injury.

Robertson had already suffered an injury during his international duty for Scotland last October, which kept him out for more than three months. On Tuesday (27), he limped off again while representing his country with an ankle injury.

The left-back underwent tests which confirmed that he had not suffered any serious injury. With no bone or ligament damage detected, Robertson should only be out for a few days rather than weeks.

The player is unlikely to be fit for the game against Brighton on March 31. However, it is expected that he will be available to play against Sheffield United on April 4. In his absence, manager Jurgen Klopp has Kostas Tsimikas and Joe Gomez as options to replace him.
