Have you ever wanted to learn the ins and outs of aviation? There’s probably a good chance you’ve been a little interested on more than one occasion – the whole industry is a pretty unique one which presents a lot of opportunities for people to check out.
With that being said, the US is home to a lot of exciting places for people to sit down and learn aviation for themselves whenever they want to, if they’re prepared to take a look at some of the different options which exist out there.
So if you wanted to study somewhere to learn aviation, where would you have to go? Well, there are a handful of different locations to keep in mind, so let’s take a look at some of them here and now, to show you the top US aviation courses.
You can’t talk about anything to do with the air without touching upon MIT, or The Massachusetts Institute of Technology for those who don’t know about the acronym. MIT is probably one of the best places to get a first-class education and emerge entirely confident in your ability.
Their programs are legendary, and the institution itself is one which has turned out high-ranking players within NASA and the Air Force, as well as an astronaut.
Regardless of who you are and where you come from, a good place to go and get an education is definitely MIT. This is literally the top shelf when it comes to aviation courses, or most courses to be honest. Out of all of the university and higher education facilities in the US, it’s definitely earned a place in the top 10.
University of North Dakota
The next place that we’re going to be taking a look at on the list is the University of North Dakota. This is an interesting location which promises a lot of ways to enjoy yourself and get a fine education all at once.
Graduates of the program can choose to specialise in four different areas of aviation. They can look at safety, management, human factors or unmanned aircraft systems. Once they’ve picked an area, they can begin to move onto their Master’s Degree if they so wish, and then onto a Ph.D.
As you can probably tell, there’s everything that someone could need for successful study here. All of the resources which are at work are designed to be easy to access, and the whole area is one which is bursting with academic potential.
Ohio State University
While it is true that Ohio State may not have the same glitz and glamour as somewhere like MIT, that doesn’t mean that the whole place isn’t a truly fascinating and very cool place to go and study, offering a lot in the way of unique options, incredible experiences, and an aviation course which is supported in a big way.
Not only is it fully fleshed out and an easy to work with course in the area, but the university has a fleet of aircraft for their students to get up close and personal with. Specifically, there are 17 different aircraft and around 15 staff at what’s called the Ohio State University Airport.
The area has been a fantastic location for study since at least 1942. Not only have a prominent and successful group of people risen through the ranks over the years, but the area also provides services for industries inside the Columbus area.
San José State University
San José State University is the final pick on the list and while it may not be as big as the others it does have a functional aviation programme which does offer a lot of concepts.
On the one hand, you’ve got the BS Aviation program. This prepared the students for a career in the field by teaching them the ropes of professional flying, operations management, air traffic control, airport management, maintenance – it’s a pretty broad spectrum of experiences.
On the other hand, you’ve then got the BS Industrial Technology program, which helps to put students on a career path which is a little more technical in its approach. When it comes to working with high-tech systems, using computers, electronic devices, and green technology, students will be getting a highly sophisticated and easy to work with education which will equip them well for a career inside the industry.
These are some of the top aviation courses in the area and indeed, the US. There are a lot of things that you have to think about when it comes to getting your hands on an ideal kind of aviation experience.
Naturally, you’ll want to try and do well when it comes to aviation because it can be a highly engaging and interesting topic. There are many different career paths to take if you are prepared to take a look at all of the different options to find what works for you.
Any of these places would be a good fit, so it is up to you to look at the other factors which might influence your experiences. Obviously you’ll want to make a decision based on what works for you, where you’re comfortable going, which place you like the look of best. After all, you’re not just there to study, you would be there for the whole experience, so in that case, it’s all down to which provider would be the right fit.
