Winner of three Emmys, the prestigious North American television award, passed away on Friday, the 15th, at his home in Texas. He was about to turn 44 this Sunday, the 17th.

The actor’s team confirmed that Billy was struggling with severe depression and bipolar disorder. The cause of death was not revealed, although some media outlets suggested the possibility of suicide.

Throughout his career, Billy has built a successful career in soap operas and series. He initially rose to prominence on ‘All My Children’ and later appeared in over 700 episodes of ‘The Young and the Restless’. His resume also includes appearances on ‘Suits’, ‘CSI: NY’, ‘General Hospital’ and ‘Truth be Told’. In cinema, he had a small role in ‘American Sniper’.

Despite his professional achievements, Billy was reserved and did not comment on his personal life, including his love life and emotional challenges. As is common in many cases involving men, silent suffering is often used as a shield against the fear of public judgment.
