Priscilla opened her feelings about Elvis this monday (4), morning to reporters in Venice, ahead of the world premiere of the film “Priscilla”, directed by Sofia Coppola, which is based on her 1985 autobiography “Elvis and Me” that depicts her roller-coaster life with one of the most famous figures of the 20th century. The movie stars Cailee Spaeny as the title role and Jacob Elordi as Elvis.

“Elvis opened his heart to me in Germany, his fears and his hopes, the loss of his mother, which he never got over,” said Priscilla. “People think it was because of the sex. It wasn’t like that at all. I never had sex with him. He was very gentle, very loving, but he was respectful of the fact that I was only 14 years old.”, told Priscilla at the film conference.

She continues by saying that “”It’s very difficult to sit and watch a movie about yourself, about your life and about your love”, “I think Sofia did an amazing job. She did her homework”, finished Priscilla.

The film’s director Sofia Coppola said she relied heavily on Priscilla in putting the film together. “I really tried to make the film from her point of view so that we could follow her journey,” she said.
