However, she said she was to have been shaken by comments like this. “I was constantly told I was in the wrong shape,” Winslet told Vogue. “I had to be really brave to let my body be its softest version and not hide from it,” she continued.

Winslet later concluded: “I will not waste my precious energy criticizing my physical form. I think any woman is better off when she thinks: ‘I believe in myself, no matter what others think; That’s me and that’s how we continue’”.

Kate is one of the most celebrated actresses in Hollywood history. She won the Oscar for best actress in 2009 for her work in ‘The Reader’ (2008), also accumulating six other nominations. She has three children: Mia (22 years old), Joe (19 years old) and Bear (10 years old), born in each of her marriages.

Still in 2023, Winslet will be in cinemas as the protagonist of ‘Lee’, a biopic of war photojournalist Elizabeth ‘Lee’ Miller (1907-1977), responsible for iconic shots of the Second World War (1939-1945).
