This Tuesday (28), Jennifer Aniston encouraged fans to donate to Matthew Perry’s foundation, which benefits addiction awareness. She shared a post from the Matthew Perry Foundation official Instagram account in her Instagram Story. “Addiction is far too powerful for anyone to defeat alone. But together, one day at a time, we can beat it down”.

Aniston also wrote in the post herself: “For #GivingTuesday please join me and Matty’s family in supporting his foundation – which is working to help those suffering with addiction”. “He would have been grateful for the love”, she added. Along with the post, she also included the link to the non-profit organization.

The foundation was launched by Perry’s family, after his death in an apparent drowning on October 28. The actor was a recovering addict, and was found dead in a hot tub at his home. The official cause of his death has yet to be determined, but officials reportedly said that Matthew didn’t have either fentanyl or meth in his system at the time.

Jennifer and “Friends” co-stars Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow attended Perry’s funeral on November 3. Jennifer posted a tribute to him in her Instagram account. “Oh boy this one has cut deep… Having to say goodbye to our Matty has been an insane wave of emotions that I’ve never experienced before”, she started writing.

“We all experience loss at some point in our lives. Loss of life or loss of love. Being able to really SIT in this grief allows you to feel the moments of joy and gratitude for having loved someone that deep. And we loved him deeply. Matty, I love you so much and I know you are now completely at peace and out of any pain. I talk to you every day… sometimes I can almost hear you saying ‘could you BE any crazier?’ Rest little brother. You always made my day”, Jennifer wrote.
