American singer Halsey had to cancel her show in Maryland last Wednesday night (08), due to heavy rains. The stadium was invaded by water, which flooded and cascaded down the stairs of the arena. The show was to be held at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, but was unable to take place.

The show was supposed to start at 8pm, and was canceled at 10pm after the place was completely flooded. Halsey regretted what happened, and posted on Twitter: “I’m heartbroken and all I care about is knowing that you got home safe and sound. I love you more than anything,” she said. Some videos shared by fans show the amount of water inside the stadium where the show would be held. Even a squirrel was found swimming in the flood. The venue holds approximately 19,000 people, and is often chosen to host the city’s concerts.

The images shocked the singer’s fans, who also regretted what happened. The singer announced that her production will arrange for the show to take place at another location, and on another day. Halsey assured that her fans will be rewarded. She still regretted the way the organization of the place handled the situation. “I am very disappointed with how the venue handled everything. I assure you that I study my fans’ requests, and everything will be carried out in the best possible way,” she said.
