The comeback everyone asked for! Looks like Britney Spears is back in the music business. After a six-year hiatus since she released her last song, the singer is reportedly recording a new version of Elton John’s “Tiny dancer” with the artist himself, according to Page Six and TMZ.

According to the publications, Spears would have met with Elton John in a studio in Beverly Hills for the new project, which is scheduled for release in August by Universal Music. The 1971 song became one of the main hits of the British career and is seen to this day as one of John’s greatest compositions, “Tiny Dancer” was part of the soundtrack of productions such as “The Office”.

The information points out that in front of the recording is Andrew Watt, producer shot in the American showbizz. Watt has worked with Justin Bieber, Pearl Jam, Miley Cyrus and several other artists.

“They’ve already played it for people at their record label, and everybody is freaking out,” the source told Page Six. “It is so good. They are saying this is going to be the song of the summer. Britney is officially back. She’s back to work, and she’s super excited”.

Since Britney Spears’ father was removed from his guardianship in November 2021, the singer has been hinting at a desire to get back on track. In July, Britney posted on her Instagram a video singing her hit “Baby one more time”, from 1998, stirring the hearts of fans.
