Trailer for ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ wows with tribute to Chadwick Boseman

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was the big star of Marvel’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, with the reveal of the first trailer. In the images, the legacy of King T’Challa, lived by actor Chadwick Boseman, who died at the age of 43 due to colon cancer, in 2020, was honored.

“We talked about the past, we talked about the future, now let’s talk about what is forever…”, producer Kevin Feige said onstage during the performance.

In the wake of one of the MCU’s biggest hits, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, the kingdom of Wakanda fights to protect their nation following the death of King T’Challa. The soundtrack is composed of The Wailers’ “No Woman No Cry” and matches Kendrick Lamar’s 2015 hit “Alright”. Feelings of pain, strength and vivacity come to the surface with Angela Bassett’s impeccable performance. The preview reveals that someone will take on the mantle of superhero responsibilities, donning a new Black Panther costume.

The panel also featured Tenoch Huerta as Namor the Submariner and Dominique Thorne as Ironheart.

The film will be directed by Ryan Coogler, who co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Robert Cole, and stars Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Tenoch Huerta, Martin Freeman and Angela Bassett. “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” opens in theaters on November 11, 2022.
