According to him, the visual effects are not ready for repeat viewing. He stated that such effects are not ready for close-up on the internet.

Gunn revealed that while he loves the new teaser, some effects aren’t where he’d like them to be, and he prefers to line everything up before showing it to the public. The final installment of the Guardians trilogy made headlines at Comic-Con in San Diego last weekend for such a trailer. However, only the members of Hall H could watch the images.

Even without having the images for the public, we have the story told. In the teaser, Gamora doesn’t seem to remember her crewmates. Also, we can see that Rocket’s origin story will be addressed. Groot appears as a young adult. This will truly be the last film in this saga, and James reiterated this during the convention. The film will feature its traditional cast: Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gun and Elizabeth Debicki. In addition, some new names will enter the story, such as: Will Poulter and Maria Balakova. “I’m sorry, but some stories come to an end. That doesn’t mean everyone dies,” James Gunn declared during Comic-Con. The film’s premiere is scheduled for May 5, 2023.
