“I’m really excited about this kind of like rebirth but again it’s also reimagined rock isn’t taught anymore it doesn’t mean that you have to wear spikes which are this like visual representation of stay away from me i‘m dangerous, I’m hard, I will hurt you, Ilove this side of rock that is more vulnerable and personal and don’t think that it had to be in the rebellion of perch or anger I think that there’s like a soft side of rock and roll”. The artist reflected on what this new approach would look like.

“When I made ‘Plastic Hearts’ I felt like a persona that had to align with the era of plastic hearts was toughness and that was completely removed from me. I guess there’s kind of a stigma, like that surrounds rock and roll that it’s the angry group, try in the future”, declared Cyrus. “I think this new kind of soft and vulnerable side of rock and roll, I’m really interested in because I think now people like to talk about their feelings a little too much”.

Miley Cyrus also reflected on the relationship with the fans who have followed her since “Hannah Montana”. “The people that watched my show were my same age. That’s why we really liked each other because we were experiencing so many of the same experiences at the time even though we were living such different lives”.
